With a Delta-IIC of 26, AcoustiStep is best used in homes or commercial projects with wood or laminate flooring. Designed to achieve an IIC of 50+ on a number of substrates, the sound mat installs easily over plywood or concrete subfloors.

Depending on your IIC requirements, the rubber underlayment is available in multiple thicknesses – 2mm, 3mm, 5mm, and 10mm.

Description

Meant to be installed underneath any style flooring, the AcoustiStep is a highly engineered sound-damping underlayment that is designed to create quieter living or working spaces throughout an entire space.

Made of crumbled rubber, the AcoustiStep acoustic underlayment provides a delta-IIC of 26 points, allowing maximum soundproofing from footfall in residential and commercial applications. Unlike other crumbled rubber underlayments, AcoustiStep is NOT meant to be used as a sub-gypcrete underlayment. It should be installed directly on top of the subfloor, and directly below the finish floor.

    Wall Blokker Lite is a 0.6 lb/sf EVA-based Mass Loaded Vinyl designed to improve metal-stud wall assembly performance by 6-11 STC points. At just 1/16″ thick, Wall Blokker Lite is a cost-effective alternative to multiple layers of drywall.

    Tested on Metal Studs (20-Gauge & 25-Gauge), our thinner Mass Loaded Barrier is easily hung on metal studs using 1/2″ staples or pan-head screws. Cut around any penetrations using a razor blade or a utility knife.
